Wech is a purely Austrian company with a wealth of tradition. Since 1958, Wech has been breeding, slaughtering and selling high-quality Austrian poultry. Wech realised already many years ago that outstanding quality is the only way for the brand to assert itself on the market in the long term, considering the increase in the number of providers of cheap foreign produce. Therefore, Wech introduced criteria already a long time ago which now serve as normal quality standards. Examples of these are the farmer guarantee, the freshness guarantee and above all the Austria guarantee.
Wech recognised the significance of organic poultry very early on, and is today one of the major suppliers of Ja!Natürlich and other organic food suppliers in Austria. Our continual investment in our enterprise made Wech the probably most up-to-date company in Austria today. However, despite our advanced technology and stringent standards of hygiene, our corporate philosophy has remained practically unchanged since the time of our foundation. At Wech, we still set great store by respectful cooperation with more than 270 poultry farmers, our dealers, our personnel and above all the almost 2 million consumers who enjoy a Wech product at least once a week.
The company was founded by husband and wife Otto and Hermine Wech. Since Mrs. Wech passed away in 2009, her successor Mag. Jakob Sintschnig, the owner representative, has been ensuring that the Wech philosophy of active cooperation continues to function without a hitch.
