Highest Award in the Food Industry
The IFS standard guarantees quality and product safety at the highest international levels! Wech has been certified at the maximum “higher level” since 2004.
The food industry’s IFS standard is a uniform measure of quality for suppliers. This standard was inspired by the Global Food Safety Initiative started by the business association CIES in 2000 to improve food safety. Its aim was to set international safety standards for companies which supply traders. For this purpose, key criteria were compiled against which food safety standards could be measured, and the basis was created for the central recognition of these standards.
The International Food Standard’s (IFS) catalogue of requirements is divided into 5 main sections:
- Specifications relating to the quality management system
- Responsibilities of the organisation’s management
- Resources management
- Manufacturing process>
- Measurements, analyses and improvements
