WECH Sustainability Report 2023–2025

Sustainability 20.04.2026

Dear Employees, Esteemed Partners and Customers,

With this report, we are publishing the first sustainability report of the WECH Group.

We began work on it in 2024, at a time when we would have been subject to reporting requirements under the European CSRD Directive. Our aim was to meet this obligation in a structured and responsible manner.
Due to regulatory changes in 2025, we are now no longer formally required to report. Nevertheless, we have made a conscious decision to present our path of sustainable transformation transparently and to continue developing it further.

Our intensive engagement with requirements, risks and opportunities has once again made one thing very clear to us: with our business model, we bear a special responsibility for our regional roots, for the supply of high-quality food, and for sustainable value creation throughout our entire supply chain.
This responsibility has accompanied us since our company was founded by Hermine Wech and continues to shape our daily actions.

For us, sustainable transformation means in particular:

  • securing high-quality, regional and affordable food in the long term

  • strengthening dialogue with our employees and actively incorporating their perspectives

  • working together with our business partners to address ecological and social challenges responsibly

  • consistently advancing animal welfare

  • continuously optimizing our production processes from a technical perspective and specifically reducing energy and water consumption

  • continuing the expansion of renewable energy and gradually achieving far-reaching decarbonization of our energy mix

  • visibly living our principles and values in our daily actions, especially through our leaders

We would like to thank our employees, business partners and customers for the journey we have shared so far, and we look forward to continuing it with responsibility, transparency and appreciation.
